Does practice make perfect?
I’m not at the Creek that much, but if I am and you see me and want someone to take notes for a show, I am ALWAYS happy to do so. Even if I am not your coach.
Fact is, no indie team gets notes after performing (correct me if I’m wrong).
Sometimes they get notes. Some coaches go above and beyond. But yes… very very rare.
I don’t thing The Creek HAS to be low stakes just because no money trades hands. I know I have had shows there that I have felt are high stakes. But it does often get treated that way. ”Oh, it’s just The Creek.”
We should change that.
I agree with everything said here. I don’t think it HAS to be low stakes at The Creek. But it almost always is. And the lack of money is my wild speculation as to why.
I also think it would be great if that changed. Fuck-around sessions are fun once in a while. But at The Creek lately it seems to be the rules instead of the exception.
